Talk to your MP about what a ‘COMMON SENSE’ DEAL would do for your business

The best way to make sure your that an MP hears that business owners in their constituency want a ‘COMMON SENSE’ DEAL with Europe is to ask to meet with them. This is an opportunity to set out how the current deal is hurting your business.

Always be polite and friendly, and take the time to prepare what to say.

You might want to tell them:

  • How you and your business have personally been affected by our current deal with Europe

  • If you have had to make redundancies owing to red tape (for example at a car plant that moves parts from Europe for assembly here)

  • How difficult it has been hiring for certain roles that require specialists, or seasonal workers such as students learning English for a summer

  • The problems you now face getting parts from Europe into Great Britain

  • How GPSR regulations are stopping you selling your products internationally

Let them know that the current arrangements just don’t make any sense. We’ve automatically included a link to a report that shows how a deal on goods and services can get rid of the hassle, and grow the economy.
